Sweet T-Strap Baby Shoes

How lovely and green it is here in New Zealand most of the year...as you can see from our lawn. :) I photographed these new baby shoes outside today in the early morning light.

This new design features ribbon ankle ties and pretty ribbon & flower detail at the toes. I always enjoy a project with a little hand-sewing. I'd make a pair or two for our new baby...but we're hoping for a boy this time! :)

  2. hello! i've got a question concerning your baby/toddler crochet shoes... holland's old enough to walk - my little one is only 4 months. aren't the crochet shoes very slippery when they are about to learn to walk? or how did you handle it?

  3. Holland walked at 9 months. I made her my "Sole Lovely Mary Janes" which have sherpa suede fleece soles. She wore these everywhere for the longest time because her feet were too wide for regular baby shoes and nothing would fit her! As for the other non-fabric soled shoes, she would just wear those more like slippers in the house on the carpet. I have a lot of my patterns up to 12-18 mos because not all babies walk as soon as Holland did and they're cute shoes even for when they're just riding around in a stroller - nicer than socks. :)

  4. If you have a boy like you all want, it will be neat to see what patterns you come up with for boys in shoes and things. God definitely gave you a special creative talent. Thanks for sharing it.
